Artist: David Crowder Band
Album 1: All I Can Say
Album 2: Passion: The Road To One Day
Questions & Comments: blizz_70@sbcglobal.net
WARNING: THIS TAB IS NOT EASY TO READ AND NOT EASY TO PLAY, BUT IT IS ACCURATE!
The current tabs on the site are either innaccurate or do not cover both
Passion and All I Can Say's version.
There are basically two kinds of intros to this song. The first, the
Passion one, is guitar with a whump affect. It uses both Intro 1 and 2
at (seemingly) random times. The one from David Crowder's own album, All
I Can Say, has guitar with electrics with a lot of distortion. It uses
only Intro 1.
Key (for those who never read online tabs):
x: Mute
Y/Z: Slide from fret Y to fret Z
YhZ: Play fret Y then hammer onto fret Z
Y* (this is my own): Emphasize this note strongly
That's all I use this tab.
Intro 1:
B7sus D E
e|---------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------|
G|-----7h9--9*--7--------6--9*--6--|
D|-----7----7---4--------6--6---6--|
A|-----7h9--9--(x)--4/5--5--5---5--|
E|-5/7-7----7----------------------|
Intro 2:
A fairly accurate Intro 2 can be found on Josh Stewart's tab (also on this site).
NOTE: BOTH INTRODUCTIONS ARE PROBABLY PLAYED WITH AN UP/DOWN/UP/DOWN STRUM
OVER AND OVER AGAIN...THIS REQUIRES A LOT OF RHYTHM IN THE LEFT HAND (OR
RIGHT IF YOU PLAY A LEFT HANDED GUITAR).
Verse:
Same as Intro
"The flower's of the field...":
C2 G A7sus
e|-3---3--0-----|
B|-3---3--3-----|
G|-0---0--0-----|
D|-2---0--2-----|
A|-3---2--0-----|
E|(0)--3-(0)----|
"I will not be silent..." and the final "Make a joyful noise...":
G Dsus Em7 C2
e|-3--3-----3---3--|
B|-3--3-----3---3--|
G|-0--2-----0---0--|
D|-0--0-----2---2--|
A|-2-(0)----2---3--|
E|-3--------0--(0)-|
The usual strum that works for everything except the Intros is (per 2
measures, each letter symbolizes ((including x's)) eighth notes, parentheses
symbolize measure lines) (DxDxDUDU)(xDUDUDUx).
Sorry for the layout...this is a hard tab to tab out, it's better to teach
in real life. Listen to the song to perfect your rhythm, and e-mail me any
questions, comments, corrections, or whatnot.
"Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands..."
- Psalm 66:1
Have fun playing and God bless...this is one of the best worship songs out
there (if you can play it).
